Adventure on the Nile Day Trip Schedule
Day 1 Arrival in Cairo. Independent arrival at the Crowne Plaza. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2 After breakfast in the hotel, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Lunch at the Mena House with iconic views of the Pyramids. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3 Exclusive sunrise visit to the Pyramids and the Sphinx. (Optional: Camel ride $10). Lunch at a local restaurant. Then, fly to Luxor. Embark the SS Misr. Welcome reception onboard. Overnight onboard in Luxor.
Day 4 Luxor-Qena. (Optional: Hot air balloon ride $175). Morning visit to Luxor’s West Bank, the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon (Optional: Tombs of Tutankhamun or Seti $extra). Afternoon sailing to Qena. Overnight onboard at Qena.
Day 5 Denderah and Abydos Temples. Morning visit to Denderah Temple dedicated to Hathor. Continue by road to Abydos. Visit the Temple of Seti I and see the Gallery of Kings and its mysterious carvings. Cruise back to Luxor. Overnight onboard in Luxor.
Day 6 Sail south via the Esna Lock to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Edfu then continue to Aswan. Overnight onboard at Aswan.
Day 7 Early morning excursion to the Temples of Abu Simbel. Travel by road to the majestic rock-cut Temples of Ramses II and Nerfertari. Return to Aswan around mid-day. Boat trip to the island Temple of Philae dedicated to Isis. Enjoy a felucca sailing around Kitchener’s Island. In the late afternoon, enjoy after tea at the Old Cataract. Overnight onboard in Aswan.
Day 8 Early cruise to Kom Ombo Temple and continue sailing to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 9 Begin your day at Karnak Temple. Lunch onboard with time to relax. Later, explore the restored Avenue of the Sphinxes and Luxor Temple beautifully illuminated at sunset. Enjoy an elegant cocktail reception at the Winter Palace Hotel. Toast to the end of our Nile River journey before returning for our farewell dinner.
Day 10 Breakfast onboard. Check-out and disembark. Transfer to Luxor Airport for your return flight to Cairo. Additional nights pre and post tour available by request in Cairo and Luxor.
